“Jump in the Line” (HS)
This workshop details how to run volunteering activities, specifically based on Elizabethtown’s own Senior Citizen's Ball. Learn more about what it is and how it's done, and brainstorm and discuss other ways Student Councils can give back to their community members.
Mind, Body, and Wellness (HS)
A workshop centered around the mind, the body, and overall wellness. Students will have the option of doing yoga or painting. This is a workshop to teach leaders that it is important to take care of themselves as much as they take care of others. Students will also learn how to cope with stress in a healthy way.
“It’s for the Kids” (HS)
MiniTHON
Discover what it really takes to be a leader. This is workshop hosted by members of a non-profit club, MiniTHON, that raises money for kids with cancer. The night of MiniTHON is a huge undertaking, so this workshop will teach students how to run a successful event (planning, advertising, execution, etc.). Learn more about hosting your own MiniTHON and what leadership qualities an individual needs to be successful in a club (i.e. organization, thinking an event through, taking initiative, following through, how to manage time).
Captain on the Field, Leader in Student Council (HS)
Involved in sports AND clubs? Feeling overwhelmed? Learn how to successfully be a leader in athletics while being a leader in Student Council.

Learn how our school notifies our students about our spirit days. Let’s discover together what works and what doesn't!

Senior Citizens Ball
We will explore one event that is a highlight for our council - the Senior Citizens Ball! You will be able to take back to your council tips on organizing events and more ideas to enhance your school!

Staying Authentic While Touching Lives (HS)
Our idea is to do a workshop based on being yourself, to help with confidence and letting people know it's okay to be different.
How to Stay Involved, Even When You Feel You Don’t Belong (HS)
We will talk about different clubs and skills that many should exercise throughout high school.
Time to Speak! (HS)
This workshop is about public speaking! We will present the different forms of public speaking and talk about the proper ways to speak correctly. We plan to do some fun games to warm the ice as well as different activities students can do to work on sharpening their speech skills.
Learning how to be a leader in everyday life (HS)
Leadership
It is important to learn all the time and grow. In this workshop we will learn about how our everyday lives can become leadership lessons and what we can learn from ourselves and each other. We will also discuss effective communication within a team.
“We All Stand As One” (HS)
Students attending this workshop will learn the importance of working together. We will explore effective team building skills and how to make your council more united.
Generating New Ideas - and making them happen! (HS)
Students will attend this workshop to get feedback on what they've been doing for their school's teacher appreciation as well as learning the importance of changing things up and instituting new ideas.
Students will learn the importance of Teacher Appreciation, New ideas for each month, How to increase student participation within the committee, To be prepared with an outline and written notes for the rest of the year
Balancing the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (HS)
In this workshop we will learn how to balance school and sports. We will explain some techniques on how to keep the balance of having fun in your sports and doing well in school; and, how to be a leader everywhere.
How to Fundraise Successfully (HS)
Students will attend this workshop to get feedback on what they've been doing for their school's teacher appreciation as well as learning the importance of changing things up and instituting new ideas.
How to Have Confidence as a Leader (HS)
In this workshop we will be teaching students to have confidence in themselves. We will discuss how to build each others up and not tearing one another down, specifically ourselves.
Capture Communication (HS)
The goal of our workshop is to show that every voice in a student council counts! Communication is important to get different activities or ideas across to not only your student council but your entire school.
Team Building Through Ice Breakers (HS)
We will be running an Icebreaker workshop. We will be teaching student council members about the importance of icebreakers in student council and in relation to the theme "L.E.A.R.N. To Lead". We will connect an icebreaker idea to each of the words that make up the letters L.E.A.R.N. for connection to the conference.
Navigate Through Negativity (HS)
Navigate through negativity! This fun-filled workshop will help to teach students to balance the
negativity in their lives. We will teach them how to think positively and detox from negative
attitudes.
Using Social Media (HS)
Social media allows other people to have an insight on our lives. During this workshop we will teach students how to use social media within their councils to reach success.
Leading a Council: Do You Have What it Takes? (HS)
Countless student council members feel lost when it comes to leading their council. Come learn that officer positions are more than just names and about the skills any student needs to be an effective leader and role model in their student council.
Status Quos are Made to be Broken (HS)
Our workshop is a fun and interactive way to look at status quo and ways to pursue the problem of stereotypes and cliques. We will use games and discussion to dig more into the problem and come up with personal solutions and solutions to improve your entire student council. If you are interested in breaking from the status quo our workshop is the place to be!
Hooray! How to increase Spirit (HS)
Together let’s explore how to get your school excited about spirit! We will present to you ideas for spirit weeks and you will learn how to make pep rallies a blast!
L.E.A.R.N. To Be Great at Public Speaking (HS)
In this dynamic workshop you will learn how to identify and overcome fears you may have of public speaking. You will become more comfortable in front of any size crowd. Additionally, you will learn how to stylize and give a speech to the best of your ability.
Powderpuff: The Greatest Workshop You Will Ever Go To (HS)
This is a workshop that's going to teach you how to run a successful Powderpuff event to help bond your school and community. You will have a lot of fun attending this workshop while learning some great information. This is a workshop you definitely want to attend as it will be fun and informative.

Break the ice by joining the fun and hands on icebreaker workshop. You will learn the importance of icebreakers in your council, and gain new ideas to bring back to your school.
Appreciating Those You Learn From (HS)
What’s the last time you said thank you? Have you ever thanked a teacher? In this workshop, you will learn ideas about how to show small signs of appreciation for your teachers and faculty. It’s the smallest actions that make the biggest difference!
